Background

Natalie Grant has been an educator for over 30 years and has worked with thousands of students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Natalie has earned National Board Certification and was recognized by Stanford University for her commitment as an educator.

Journey2Genius was created by Natalie Grant after recognizing that her 4-year-old son was a nontraditional learner. She researched and developed a set of curricula that transformed his learning experience, helping him rise from one of the lowest reading groups in kindergarten to graduating high school with a 4.4 GPA as well as graduating from UC Davis, earning a B.A. degree.

Natalie’s methods not only supported her son’s success but also proved effective for the students she taught in her own class, many of whom showed significant academic and social growth.

Natalie holds both a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Pepperdine University. She also has a Multiple Subject Credential and a Single-Subject Credential in English from California State University Dominguez Hills.

As a published author and seasoned educator, Natalie has taught students from elementary through adult education, bringing depth, clarity, and compassion to every learning environment. Her career includes extensive experience as a classroom teacher, coordinator, educational consultant, and instructional coach, where she has guided teachers in strengthening instructional practices and creating positive, well-managed classrooms.

Natalie has led numerous professional development trainings for educators and has served on multiple Instructional Leadership Teams, contributing her expertise to schoolwide improvement initiatives. Her commitment to excellence, academic achievement, and educational growth continues to impact students, parents, teachers, and school communities across her career.
