The College Readiness Program equips students with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools they need to successfully navigate the path to higher education. Through a series of carefully scaffolded lessons and hands-on activities, students learn how to explore their interests, understand college options, and map out a clear, personalized plan for their academic future.
Participants engage in structured step-by-step workshops covering essential topics such as backwards goal setting, academic planning, college selection, admissions requirements, financial aid, college essays, interviews, and a scholarships. Each activity builds upon the last, ensuring that students deepen their understanding while developing the skills and mindset necessary for long-term success. Ideally, students will have the opportunity to participate in the program for consecutive years in order to receive the support and guidance when updating their college portfolio.
By the end of the program, students walk away with actionable checklists, personalized timelines, and a portfolio of completed tasks which empowers them to become confident, prepared, and motivated college applicants and scholarship recipients. Whether they plan to apply next year or a few years from now, students gain the clarity and readiness to pursue their college journey with assurance and purpose.
