An Adventure in the Arts

The Art Adventures Program is designed for students to explore creativity through a multi-modal approach to the arts. Recognizing that every student learns differently, the program goes beyond traditional painting and drawing by building upon it by integrating various mediums together, i.e., visual arts with movement and/or sound. Students engage in projects that may require them to write poetry to accompany a clay sculpture, choreograph a simple dance based on a color palette, or use music to accompany a storyboard they designed. This strategy ensures deep engagement by allowing children to express their "genius" across various platforms of the arts, reinforcing concepts like pattern recognition and storytelling while building confidence in their diverse artistic and technical abilities.
